Celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week
May 4-8, 2026
Time to show our teachers some love! Next week is Teacher Appreciation Week, and it’s the perfect chance to thank our amazing educators for their commitment and the huge impact they have.
We really want to make sure they feel appreciated. A small, thoughtful gesture like a favorite treat is always a hit, but we especially encourage taking a moment to write a personalized note to say thank you. A heartfelt message lasts much longer, is easy on the wallet, and is a great way to recognize the difference our teachers make in our children's lives.
We’ve made it easy! We have two quick templates you can download, print, and fill out with your student to help them write the perfect message. If you need a physical copy, just swing by the office—we have printed ones ready for pick up!
Our PTG Board is up for Renewal each year
There are many ways to volunteer at David Lubin and joining the PTG Board is an important one. The PTG Board approves budget and program requests, manages school wide enrichment initiatives & events and helps foster communication between teachers, staff and our school community. President
Are you social, welcoming and the type of person who likes to get things done?

Vice President

Treasurer
Do you have a background in accounting or finance? Are you impeccable with your number tracking skills?
• Receive & deposit money. Record all expenditures and receipts
• File all Tax & Corporation forms

• 10-15 Hours per month
Secretary
Put your excellent note-taking to the test!
• Record and distribute minutes from all meetings
• Has a voting voice for all proposals and budget requests brought to the Board
• 6-8 Hours per month
Communications
Do you have a background in design or marketing? This could be a fun outlet for you!
• Design and send weekly newsletter, maintain website design
• Posts for social media
• Has a voting voice for all proposals and budget requests brought to the Board
• 10-15 Hours per month
Parlimentarian
Order in the court!
• Responsible for maintaining order and timeliness in monthly PTG meetings
• Has a voting voice for all proposals and budget requests brought to the Board
• 6-8 Hours per month
DEIB Lead
Are you a champion for equity initiatives? Do you want to help shape and improve David Lubin’s DEI strategies?
• Lead for at least 1 DEIB related initiative
• Has a voting voice for all proposals and budget requests brought to the Board
• 6-8 Hours per month
Member at Large
Do you enjoy leadership and decision making? Do you want to bring new ideas and fresh perspectives to the PTG?
• Task oriented with creative ideas
